Tadano locations in Germany

With a team of 1,130 people, we develop, manufacture, and sell our mobile cranes with a lifting capacity of up to 3,200 t (3,520 USt) in Zweibrücken (near Saarbrücken). Our team members manufacture all terrain cranes and lattice boom crawler cranes at two different plants.

In addition to Tadano being the largest employer in the field of mechanical engineering, the City of Zweibrücken is also boasting the strongest rate of start-up growth. The local campus of Kaiserslautern University is the most valuable locational advantage for start-ups. The city of Zweibrücken is not only a good location in terms of business, but also a wonderful place to live in. Found in the southwestern area of the Palatinate, the city forms part of the SaarLorLux Euroregion with easy access to the A8 and A6 autobahns and a train station close to the plant. This means that Brussels, Strasbourg, Frankfurt, and Paris are all close by, as are other large cities such as Saarbrücken, Kaiserslautern, and Mannheim.

Zweibrücken is known as the City of Roses, and the surrounding Palatinate is marked by a French flair, famous as a paradise for wine lovers, hikers and cyclists, offering countless opportunities for outdoor activities, relaxation and enjoyment. The region’s castles, palaces, museums and leisure parks make for an attractive cultural offer. In the immediate vicinity of one of our plants you can find the largest outlet center in Germany where 130 brands provide an outstanding shopping experience.
In Lauf an der Pegnitz (near Nuremberg), our team of 600 people develops, manufactures, and sells our all terrain cranes across the world with our global sales and service network. It this location, we also develop and build truck-mounted cranes that are mounted on commercial truck chassis.
